Well, kids, we've been hinting at it for the past few weeks, but now it's official: this is our last semester in Chicago. After 13 wonderful seasons on WUIC (and one rollercoaster ride of a 2006), BFN Networks will be departing the Windy City come June. We've decided to hit the road and see what a new change of pace can do for us. (We're still kind of fuzzy on the details right now, but isn't finding out what's next half the fun anyway?) Rest assured, this will not be the end of BFN. In fact, from what I can see, we're just getting started -- BELIEVE IT!
However, before you jump the gun and think of us as already gone, remind yourself that we still have a month to party until our mass exodus from the Midwest. Along with three more new episodes of BFN to go, we still have plenty of band interviews in the works: Joe Bonamassa, Kate Voegele, Mad Science Fair, Adam Fallon, Red Wanting Blue, Pat McCurdy, The Great Crusades . . . the list keeps growing! Just because it's our last semester with WUIC, it doesn't mean that we're going to be lazy about it. So, quit worrying about the future and enjoy yourself, damnit!
And so it begins . . .
May 2 - In-Studio Interview with Joe Bonamassa
After six long years, we finally landed an in-studio visit from power bluesmonger Joe Bonamassa. He spiked the mike levels a few times with his signature howl, but it was fantastic watching this man give his all for BFN.

May 5 - In-Studio Interview with Kate Voegele
Ohio native Kate Voegele is 19 years old and on the cusp of music stardom. An incredibly talented singer and songwriter, Kate will stop by to chat with BFN before playing the House of Blues later that night.

May 6 - In-Studio Interviews with Mad Science Fair and Adam Fallon
Driving up from Champaign-Urbana for the International Pop Overthrow at Wise Fools Pub, Mad Science Fair will stop by the studio at 5:00 p.m. CT for an interview. Right after that singer-songerwriter (and Canadian import) Adam Fallon -- BFN's own Shaggs Strummer -- will sit down with Bob to discuss his forthcoming release Slightly Used.

May 13-16 - Clio Festival Miami #6!
BFN isn't the only thing that Bob's been working at for the past six years. He's been with the Clio Awards this entire time, too. Because this is most likely his last season with the greatest white-collar gig in Chicago, it will also be his last chance to party in Miami on the company dime. Per usual, Bob will be running the Registration table at the 47th Annual Clio Festival, making sure the squeaky wheels get the grease and the right people get a copy of his resume.

May 21 - BFN Networks B-Day!
Surprise, Surprise! BFN officially turns 12! BFN Networks made its public debut on this date in 1994 when it went live with a three-minute field report/bloodbath titled Attack of the Killer Shopping Carts. After the award-winning documentary Heston's Gate, CEO (and general Madman Across the Water) Jonathan Swift had the idea to expand the syndicate by throwing his loyal crew to the wolves. Bob Dubilina will soon be dismantling the Chicago office in favor of setting up new digs in some other shantytown, but it's still never too late to appreciate our sick brand of comedy. Won't you jump on the SPAMWagon and bask in the glow of our debauchery?

May 24 - The Quarter-Life Crisis Begins!
It's that time again to celebrate the Spawning Day of Bob Dubilina! This year he'll be turning the Big 25! Whoo-hoo! Birthday celebrations for this day involve contesting a speeding ticket in Milwaukee at 8:30 a.m. and later partying with the BFN crew on the air!
May 27 - In-Studio Interview with Red Wanting Blue
Finally, a second chance to make a first impression! We were originally scheduled to interview Red Wanting Blue two months ago, but an ill-fated water pump prevented the band from stopping by the studio. Let's hope that they have a smooth ride coming to Chicago this time around.
