Knuckle Sammich:
The Best Songs of 2004
The Best Songs of 2004
Let’s just come out and say it: 2004 was a complete disaster. No matter what I did to promote passion and excitement, I found myself plagued by one crisis after the next. From the moment my car went missing for a week in January to the time it finally went kaput in December (R.I.P., Gripper), I got nothing but grief for attempting to enjoy myself. Even my victories came at a terrible price! Paying off the remainder of my college debt; Psycho Dave moving to Chicago; vacationing in Thailand; touring Europe with The Great Crusades (and Chad, of course); road tripping all over the country in my faithful yellow demon cow warrior – every one of these fantastic opportunities/adventures involved losing a loved one (R.I.P., Marsha) or growing distant from my most trusted friends. The cost/benefit ratio was most certainly not working in my favor.
That said, instead of rattling off a list of grievances that could be fittingly adapted into a Homeric poem, I thought it best to put together a compilation of songs from 2004 that would – for the most part – effectively capture my general outlook for the year. This soundtrack would not only illustrate my fierce struggle against lethargy and ignorance but would also be a great opportunity to expose our loyal fans to the best music of the year. And for the more extreme (i.e., unemployed) BFN aficionado, I decided to post extensive personal commentary on each song in my section of the BFN Forums. If that’s not enough to get your motor running, well then . . . let’s just say a certain Big Red Ritalin Ranger won’t be coming over to your house to make you breakfast anytime soon.
As for the rest of you lovely yet misguided souls, I give you Knuckle Sammich: The Best Songs of 2004. A two-disc set featuring thirty-six of the finest tracks of the year, this soundtrack packs one hell of wallop. Have fun listening to it – just make sure not to bite off more than you can chew.

FYI: It’s best to listen to the soundtrack before reading the commentary. What’s that? You don’t have a copy of the soundtrack? Well, then, how in the hell did you know to come here? No, forget it – I don’t want to know. Just send me an e-mail with your address and a bad joke and maybe – maybe – I’ll make the effort to send you a copy.
What? What do you mean you don’t have my e-mail address! It’s all over this forum! Hell, it’s posted on this page! No, damnit – this page! Jesus! How is it that you can so easily Google up the finest amateur porn in the world, yet you can’t spot an e-mail address right in front of you? Seriously, what’s up with that?
