New BFN faves The Navigators will be making their second in-studio appearance at WUIC Thursday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m (that's TOMORROW -- don't you have a calendar?) We'll shoot the shit with the boys before they head over to sound check at Wise Fools Pub. The concert tomorrow night is bound to be great, so you better come along. NOW! And it's confirmed: Guster has agreed to an on-site interview at The Riv on October 29, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. I'll be there . . . or I won't. Funny how life works, eh? Okay, fine -- I'll be there! On a roll, BobbyDobbyD P.S. Heads up for a last-minute chat with Duncan Sheik.

Rock on! Due to nasty traffic on I-290, the interview with The Navigators was almost cancelled! Fortunately, I was able to convince the band to stop by the studio early the next day. Even in the morning, these boys sound spectacular. I can't wait for you to hear it! Thanks to a little birdy with the right connections, Chad was able to score us a last-minute phone interview with Duncan Sheik! Alas, the connection wasn't so hot because he was talking on a cell phone in a busy coffee shop, but he still had plenty of great stuff to say about music, touring and goodwill toward men and women alike. Last but not least, I got a chance to step aboard the Guster tour bus this weekend and chat with singer/guitarist Ryan Miller about their new album and everything else that's happened since I last saw them at Easy Street Records in Seattle back in August 2003. That's all for this month! I think we're going to cool our jets for a week or two before we come back to truly rock your socks off in November. Sleepy, not dead, BobbyDobbyD
